My Services

  • Naturopathic Consultations

In the course of a consultation, you will primarily be asked many questions covering your current and past health history, as we explore the underlying drivers of your current situation and put together a plan for going forward.

You can expect a lot of talking, as well as some functional assessment where indicated. It is helpful to bring in a diary of the previous week’s food and drink intake, and any previous test results that may be relevant.

Consultations are 75mins in length (half an hour for acute cases or follow-ups). I am in clinic every Thursday at Whanganui Osteopathy, and every Saturday morning at The Wellness Hub in Feilding.

  • Herbal Dispensary

With an on-site herbal dispensary, I am able to formulate and dispense herbal medicines that are blended just for you. These are exceptionally high quality hydroethanolic or glycerine-based extracts from GMP-certified, practitioner-only (not available for public sale) professional herbal medicine producers, or herbal teas blended and compounded for you.

This means products are able to be tailored to your exact needs from a vast range of medicinal herbs, taking into account your whole body, current medicines and health, and any other unique requirements, and can be altered to suit as time goes on and your situation progresses. And yes, I can formulate safe remedies for children, too.

  • Functional Testing

Usually in a consultation, we can get to the bottom of the likely drivers of your condition from a solid case take and conversation. Sometimes though, we need to dig a little deeper and find out more about what’s going on. This is where functional testing comes in.

I have access to a vast range of functional tests from a number of labs, both here and overseas, and as such, am able to help get to the bottom of those difficult symptoms and cases.

Available tests include HTMA heavy metal hair tests (includes essential minerals too), Organic Acids Test (OAT), comprehensive hormone testing with DUTCH tests, CDSA comprehensive digestive stool analysis, microbiome screening, allergy testing, SIBO testing, methylation, and more.

Can I bring my child/baby/support person?

Absolutely! Even if the consultation isn’t for them, a support person is always welcome to come along if you need them to, and your wee ones are always welcome. A small toybox is available, but I suggest also bringing snacks and something fun to keep children entertained while we talk.

What if i need to postpone?

Sometimes things come up, and that’s ok. Please give 24 hours’ notice if you need to postpone your appointment, by calling ahead or messaging, or you may incur a late cancellation fee. If an emergency happens on the day and you can’t make it in, please get in touch and we can figure something out for you.

do you have eftpos?

EFTPOS is available in the clinic, otherwise payment by cash or internet banking is fine. Supplements are invoiced separately and can be paid for by cash or internet banking.

WHAT DAYS DO YOU WORK?

I’m available in clinic in Whanganui (at Whanganui Osteopathy) every Thursday from 10am-6pm, and online most evenings by arrangement.

Appointments at Whanganui Osteopathy can be booked online here.

do you do payment plans?

Life is getting more and more expensive for many people. If you need to organise a payment plan to be able to manage an appointment, please contact me and we can get something set up.

How many sessions will i need?

It depends entirely on what’s going on for you - for simple things, it can be as straightforward as a single appointment and follow-up, and for chronic conditions or comprehensive and ongoing management plans, six or eight-weekly follow-ups may be suggested for a time. We can discuss this within the consultation, and I will endeavour to keep things as affordable and manageable as possible for you.

What do i need to wear?

Your normal clothes are absolutely fine!

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

On top of the consultation fee, supplements, functional tests and herbs are an additional cost. I endeavour to keep things as affordable as possible whilst doing the best for your health, by keep products to a minimum - if budget is a barrier, please let me know and I can do my best to work around this for you.
